I am passionate about Sport and exercise, and have been since as a very young girl I stood with my Dad on the terraces at Stamford Bridge. At secondary school I was then lucky enough to have a truly excellent set of physical educators in both netball and athletics. I cannot thank them enough as although like many adolescent girls I temporarily dropped out of team sport.
If you're thinking about getting into shape, working on your fitness and reaching your fitness goals, I highly recommend Michelle! Michelle really took the time to get to know me, my goals and my lifestyle and tailors each session accordingly. She's been helping me regain my pre-baby fitness levels and I couldn't be happier with the results. She is a joy to train with and has taught me to exercise safely as well as making every workout great fun. The workouts are always different and interesting and I always look forward to our weekly sessions.
Michelle is a “complete-est” in her approach to teaching netball. She is as mindful of developing agility, good balance and coordination ability as she is in nurturing excellent netball skills. As a result my daughter has become a very able, enthusiastic and injury free netball player. Many of my daughter's peers who had lacked confidence in sport have been encouraged and nurtured by Michelle. We saw the interest in taking up netball rise to an extraordinary level in a school that lacks facilities and any prior interest in the sport.
I have always tried to stay fit, and play football, run, and cycle regularly. I realised that if I wanted to carry on doing those things though, I also needed an exercise regime that was more than just aerobic and which would help me in terms of strength and flexibility. So I asked Michelle to train me. It has been an excellent decision. She is motivating, knowledgable, reliable, supportive, patient and extremely good at what she does. She has also been able to work around my often-complicated schedule. I am now fully conversant with the mysteries of gym machines, yoga mats, and stretching, and am all the better for it!
Michelle coached me as part of a 'back to netball' initiative. Most of us ladies hadn't played netball for 20 years (if at all). Michelle was dedicated to helping us improve our fitness, agility and strength mutually while teaching the relevant game play skill tactics and balls skills. She made us aware of our bodies; practicing safe landing to keep us as injury free and in the game for as long as possible- we had a lot of fun rediscovering netball again! My 9 - year daughter was also coached by Michelle as part of her after school netball club. Polly says ``what I liked about Michelle was she took netball seriously and she took us seriously``. For me and for my daughter, Michelle's passion and commitment to delivery really shone through and we would highly recommend her.
I asked Michelle to train our netball team. It was evident that Michelle was meticulous in her approach & delivery, and as I wanted to improve my fitness “on court” with specific netball challenges like jumping, balance and core strength I asked her to train me. I work full time and have a young family so have very little free time available. I also suffer with disc problems in my back and have to be very careful of the exercising I can and can’t do. Michelle made it incredibly easy for me to train with her as was completely flexible to my timetable, worked around my schedule, met me at home and in the local park to train. She brought all the equipment and varied each session between strengthening, aerobic and specific netball drills so it was always different and never dull! Her knowledge of anatomy and training ensured I was in safe hands and my back was always protected. Michelle didn’t just do her routine – she tailored it completely so I had a bespoke approach, which suited my needs. I would 100% recommend Michelle for fun, varied and informed PT with real results you will really enjoy getting!
I was delighted when I heard Michelle would be running fitness classes at my place of work as I’d recently given up my gym membership as I wasn’t enjoying or getting much out of it as I used to due to changes in classes and instructors. Although fitness levels are quite good I feel for my age I definitely wanted to get fitter. The classes are mainly circuits, which are great for all ability. Michelle has always made sure we are all aware of the variations of each exercise we can do to our own ability and we are doing so safely. It’s really good to have an instructor who is really knowledgeable about all areas of fitness, muscles and diet; and that is supportive to all in the class regardless of levels. Personally it is also nice how approachable Michelle is and I feel happy to ask her advice. I really feel I have benefitted from these classes and will continue to attend – my only complaint is that we can’t do them every day! 😉
Michelle has been a great netball coach for both me and my daughters. Diligent, enthusiastic and always boosting your confidence with good sense of humour too! With good attention to detail, especially on all our footwork (!) I always enjoyed the training and matches. As a result -one of my teenage daughters is interested in completing an umpiring course thanks to Michelle encouraging her to have a go when she returned to her primary school to volunteer.
I have been training with Michelle for a few months. I have never done any serious exercise before and I was looking to improve my general fitness after having four children in quick succession! I have found Michelle to be an excellent PT. She is friendly and enthusiastic without being overbearing. She understands my level of motivation and tailors each session appropriately. We have gradually increased the training at a manageable pace, which means that each session is difficult but achievable, which gives me motivation. I don't get bored as we target different areas each week and do different exercises, which makes it interesting. She is clearly knowledgeable about the body and I am completely confident in her judgment in the way she is able to make very small adjustments to my body to ensure the exercise is effective and safe. She also understands that I don't have a lot of spare time and whilst she is encouraging and makes suggestions about how to increase my level of exercise throughout the week, I don't feel at all judged when I don't manage to! Most importantly for me she makes each session fun and enjoyable. I feel fairly amazed that I am enthusiastic about the training each week (as that has never happened before with exercise) - and that is a testament to Michelle. I would not hesitate to recommend her.
